Amsterdam Attractions
Amsterdam offers a dizzying choice of museums, galleries, tours, historical places, squares and events for even the most experienced traveler. There are several places that should be on your "must-do" list. Most are close to the Dam Square, the cultural center of the city where you will find the Royal Palace and the New Church. The Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk are currently undergoing renovations but parts of their collections are still on display at various venues.

Be sure to check out the Amstelkring Museum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Rembrandt House, just a few of the many museums in the city. If you tire of old buildings and artwork, you might want to try the high-tech Holland Experience for a change of pace, or perhaps the zoo or Hortus Botanicus. Amsterdam is full of wonderful squares, parks and neighborhoods that are great for just passing the time or visiting the boutiques, clubs and restaurants that line them. Aside from everything that the city has to offer, there are a number of tour companies that provide daytrips to the countryside.
