A modern, business-orientated hotel, the Courtyard by Marriot Amsterdam Airport is located in a green park with a lake, next to the Claus Event Centre in Hoofddorp, 12 kilometres from Schiphol airport. Understated modern decor in neutral colours complements dark wood furniture in the 148 air-conditioned guestrooms. All are equipped with work desks with high-speed Internet connection, direct-dial telephones, cable television and safes for laptops.
Guests can work out in the gym, which is equipped for both cardiovascular and weight training, relax in the sauna, or enjoy a complimentary coffee while browsing the daily papers in the lobby lounge. Fitted out sleek, dark wood and leading onto a terrace for al fresco dining in the summer, the restaurant offers an international à la carte menu at lunch and dinner as well as buffet breakfasts, while drinks and snacks are available round the clock from the 24-hour lobby food shop. Sports fixtures are shown on the flat-screen television in the bar and the newsstand sells the press and souvenirs. There is also a picnic and barbeque area in the hotel grounds. Guests with laptops can work online in the hotel's public areas thanks to wireless Internet access and there are five meeting rooms as well as a business centre. On site parking is available for a fee (1.5 EUR hourly, 12.5 EUR daily). There are numerous sport and leisure facilities in the surrounding area with jogging golf, and horse riding all within five kilometres, and the neighbouring commercial centre is home to shops, restaurants and a bowling alley. Central Amsterdam is 17 kilometres away. Schiphol Airport is 12 kilometres and about a 10-minute drive away.
