Shelter Hostel Amsterdam
The Shelter has two excellent locations in Amsterdam, one in the popular Jordan district and the other is right in the centre of the old city. Both give you the perfect base for exploring the city.

At both locations you get great value for money. Starting a just 16 Euros a night you get a bed, breakfast, hot showers and free use of a locker. The accommodation is keep clean and you will be welcomed into a friendly international atmosphere.

Both hostels have single-sex dorms with 4,6,8,12 or 16 beds, but you will find that the dorms are nicely separated into smaller sections giving a better sense of privacy.

Facilities are very good and besides including breakfast and hot showers there is a garden terrace and a cafe which other than serving food and drinks is a great place to relax and meet your fellow travellers.

Important Information
There are some important things to know about the hostel before you decide if it is the place for you.

The hostel is smoke-free, drug-free and alcohol-free. (Cigarette smoking is allowed in the garden)

There are separate dorms for men and woman

No lock out

Shelter Jordan: No curfew

Shelter City: 2am curfew

Accommodation is recommended for anyone between the ages of 15 and 40.

The use of a locker is free, but you will be asked to pay a refundable key deposit of five Euros.

Cancellations must be emailed of faxed to The Shelter before 12pm on the day before you are due to arrive otherwise you will be charged for one night.

Prices start at just 16 Euros per night and include breakfast.
